How cool is this?! Symposium participants got an inside look at some of the artifacts recovered from the 120,000 year old Snowmastodon site near Snowmass, Colorado. Here you can see a mastodon tusk fragment, two pieces of wood, and a sample of the peat moss that preserved these items for tens of thousands of years. Thanks @denvermuseumns for the sneak peek!

Rooftop solar panels are awesome, but did you know that urban rooftops can reach 170 degrees in summer, shutting down solar panel functionality?! The solution: a green roof! Green roofs with live plants keep temps within a few degrees of ambient air, keeping your solar panels up and running when they’re needed most.

Thanks Dr. Jennifer Bousselot of @coloradostateuniversity and @coloradonps for sharing your knowledge with us!
